Fine lines and tiny lettering are not its strengths. Choose chenille when the patch itself should be a noticeable part of the garment’s design.

Which Patch Material Is Right for Your Design?
Start with the artwork, not just the patch photograph. An embroidered crest may look excellent at 90 mm wide but lose a narrow line when reduced to 35 mm. Woven construction can preserve finer elements. A printed patch may work better for a design containing shaded colours or a photograph.
Think about the garment too. A varsity jacket can carry the depth of chenille, while a slim clothing label often needs a flatter finish. PVC suits many outdoor accessories, but it does not have the traditional stitched appearance of embroidery.

Your patch can be round, rectangular, shield-shaped or cut to follow your artwork. The important question is whether the finished edge leaves enough room for the design. A traditional overlocked border often suits regular shapes. A cut edge can follow more complex outlines.
Consider the position before choosing dimensions. A small chest badge, cap logo and oversized jacket-back patch need different proportions. If the patch includes a slogan, check the lettering at its actual printed size, not just enlarged on a screen.
For the best starting point, send an AI, EPS, PDF, PNG or JPG file if you have one. A clear sketch or photograph is also useful for an initial discussion. Reference colours or brand guidelines help us select suitable threads or materials. Exact colour reproduction can vary between processes.
A digital proof shows the planned design for your approval. It is not the same as a physical production sample. Ask about sample availability if you need to inspect the finished texture before a larger run.
